This is my very first HMC knife. I absolutely love it. The craftsmanship is over the top. The knife just works perfectly and the blade is superb. I know folks have commented on the cost of an HMC knife but all I can say is that it is worth every penny. I intend to carry and use so don’t look for this knife on the secondary market, you will not find it. One more thing to add, is that it is a pleasure to do business with Jim and his company. The purchase is more than just an on line order. It truly feels personal, especially with the great face book vids and stories. Take my advice an invest you will not be sorry.

Jim has proven to be both a talented machinist and an exceptional person to work with. I recently purchased a Transient from him and noticed a small issue upon delivery. When I contacted him, he responded immediately. Although I incorrectly identified the problem in my initial message, Jim knew exactly what was wrong and diagnosed the issue instantly. He quickly sent out replacement parts free of charge and was incredibly kind throughout our interaction. I am just as pleased with the outstanding customer service as I am with the knife itself.

I’m super happy with the piece I got.. so beautiful and you can tell it’s quality. What’s even better though is I sent an email after I bought the piece and requested the Detent to be tuned. Most makers would be offended. Jim was happy to do it and it came out exactly how I wanted it!

Was lucky enough to land the Red 3.2 V3 with G10 Transient when Jim had the drop on Halloween. Not my first V3 or G10 and absolutely love it. Found the quality, workmanship & care that went in to it is what makes HMC one of my favorite makers. Not my first Transient have several others and found same care & quality goes in to everyone HMC puts out. Always look forward to NKD when i get a new or aftermarket Transient The other part of HMC found if you get an aftermarket & want a change on a Transient can send in on one of the different levels of spas and comes back light brand new. Jim and Mike are just quality people & just all around good guys. So if you want a quality knife with first rate workmanship HMC Transient is it.

My pricing is based on the high-quality materials and craftsmanship that go into making each knife. I use premium American-made stainless steel and titanium hardware, all contributing to an all-titanium construction. Quality is my top priority throughout the manufacturing process, even with the use of CNC machines. I employ 3D machining for most components to ensure an ergonomic and high-performance design. From sourcing materials to the final sharpening, I pay meticulous attention to every detail in creating my knives
